stock running boards

I'm looking to remove my running boards today. Is it just a series of bolts to remove and they come off? I will have a hydraulic lift so it should be pretty easy. I looked briefly underneath and it looked like it was about 8 bolts that were attatched with brackets. Dumb question I know but I would appreciate any help from someone who has done this already!

Several people have done it. No one has mentioned anything tricky about it.

I am never going to remove my running boards. They are pretty strong for stock, and they provide excellent protection against rock chips when I drive down gravel roads (Which I do a lot)

They're nice for washing the roof- or tying surfboards to the roof rack.
