stock tire size?

My 4R has 265/65/17 on it, which is what tire rack lists as stock size (SR5 4x4) but on kbb it lists 265/70/17 as stock. I'm just wondering which it is, because i'd like to stick with stock so my speedometer and odometer as the most accurate. Also because i'd like the run load range E tires and right now the only ones I can find of those in the size I have now are Dick Cepek Trail Country's, which aren't bad but I like the Goodyear All Terrains since they use kevlar and last forever. The SilentArmor tires we use on our trucks at work outlast the Wrangler HT and SR-A's which are supposed to outlast regular all terrains.

So basically what's supposed to be the factory stock size?

265/65/17 is the stock size

also there are some other good choices for Load range E in that size...

Toyo Open Country makes 10 ply

BF Goodrich AT KO makes load range E....you have to specifically request both....most tire sellers will naturally order the load range C.

Toyo doesn't have a load range "E" Open Country A/T II in 265/65, don't think the P metric is 10-ply.

I change my mind a hundred times before I decide, i'm considering the Wrangler Adventure since it seems to be fairly road friendly and uses Kevlar construction so it should be a solid tire and last a long time. Also considering the Dick Cepek Trail Country, since it's the only load range E in the stock size I can afford, the BFG A/T is a bit pricey.

That's if I stay stock size, i'm considering going 265/70 since there's plenty more choices, most in E load as well. I'd rather not go up in size since I don't want my speedo/odo off. Then, there's the option of new 16" wheels so I can mount 265/70 and stay stock overall height, but I can't find wheels that I can afford that fit the 4R. Maybe I can trade mine for a set of stock Toyota 16" wheels......

Your door will tell you what os stock for each vehicle, 265/65 are usually for 17" rims.
70 series are for 16" rims stock.
