Stock Trail on the... errr... trail.

Aside from the Duratracs, I intend to leave my offroading features as delivered. After my first trail time, I could not be more impressed. Power, control, agility. Awesome.

Back to work. I must admit, I did not think I could get over these rocks on the right without scraping. I was wrong. 4L w/ the AC and tunes cranking, eased right over.

It took 1000 miles to get out on some demanding terrain. I love driving it on road every day, but man is she incredible offroad.

No 360 shot as well?..........(inside joke), wife and I took ours to the trail after picking it up at the dealer in SF and driving it to Flagstaff. We were not so lucky with the stock tires..........LOL, but I was in LOVE with its manners off road, and I'm pretty tough to please

I agree with you though, leave it pretty much stock and it should do fine for 99% of what we like to do. You can spend 10k on upgrades and never have the stock smoothness and feel come back around again. I ruined my Silverado 2500 Crew cab by thinking 35's" would be so cool under it

Now see Cliffy, I prepared for your reply! LOL, I only had one PAM with me, although I don't recall the reference #.

The reality for me is this is my daily commuter and I really don't intend to flip it or smash doors off road. I love the way it feels and drives now, and if it remains relatively the same over the years I'll be most pleased.

Stock tires?

WATK69: What happened to your "stock" tires? Just got a 5G built July 25 and it has Dunlops. Sure wish it had better tires. Plan on using it offroad a lot.

A rock still in kindergarten compared to what Michael climbed over punctured the sidewall and it was all she wrote. Changing the tire with the donkey d*ck jack handle is no treat. Do yourself a favor and change the stock tires ASAP, they are by no means ready for the trail

Very welcome. My son is only 4 but has a habit of calling everything already! When he is of driving age I hope the Trail is still rockin' and rollin'.

I think they are all the same but am not entirely sure. I have crawled under mine and come up with 9" to the lowest points at the front skid if I recall.

Thanks to Harper, SeattleM, and SandC I do have E rated Duras. So happy with that decision. LOVE the Shrocks; I made another post about them you can find a few threads down. The gastank strap does need to get removed; it is a lot easier than it sounds.
