Easy trails which was good since I went out alone. I was half way through the first trail & realized I hadn't put it 4wd. :madgrin:

thanks for this thread. got me looking into camping or at least day trips. i'm new to the area, so still trying to figure out the lay of the land.

generally looking for dog-friendly day hikes or dog-friendly camping.

just got a bone stock '02 4runner, but definitely looking forward to some easy trail running too. :)

formerly owned a '91 toyota pickup with a lot more goodies (incl. a swapped 3.4L v6).

Cool man we'll do something soon. I have a few more things to do to my truck before we go out.
 
Just getting on the forums here. Next time you guys go out around the area let me know! I'm stationed at mcguire afb and seems like I'm the only t4r around. There is a 5th gen trd pro and a nicely put together fj on base but I can't seem to catch them.

Hey I'm in the Toms River area...you are kind of close to me.

I am south of you guys down in the pines. Perhaps we can get a State forrest or Batsto run together. Its mostly light terrain but still fun to get out and cruise
 
I'm always down for a ride as well. Did a little lite exploring of Wharton today. Past 2 troopers in just over an hour :(

Maybe some snow wheeling weather permitting? I'm in Westchester, NY so the drive will suck but I'm in.
 
Truly beginning to dislike it up here. Wish I would have had this truck down in GA. I'm in the same spot, really want to do some off roading but can't afford getting tickets.

I'm actually looking to move to N.Georgia, S.Carolina. Going down in July. My job is closing down after working there for 32 years. Northeast too expensive and looking for warmer weather.
