Stolen Cat in MN!

Get this, I leave my 2000 4-Runner at the doctors office yesterday cause I needed to be driven home. I leave it overnight and today when I pick it up the catalytic converter has been stolen! They sawed the fricken thing out!

So if you here of someone trying to sell one in the Minnesota area, drop me a line... I'll pass it onto the police!

Sucks though, but I know some sketch areas where you can sell scrap metal in the cities so I doubt they will sell it as a cat.

That sucks. We actually have that issue here in Vancouver. People park their cars at a Park & Ride and come back after work to find their cat is missing.

I think 4runners are pretty common targets because they are pretty easy to get under.

When mine got yanked right in front of my apartment, it cost me a pretty penny. Insurance covered it, so it cost me $500 (deductible) but the bill from Toyota was around $1300. If the thieves used a saw, you just might have to just replaced the cat but they messed up my whole exhaust setup from the second cat all the way to the muffler. You could probably get by with an aftermarket cat converter. Since I live in CA with very strict smog laws, I don't think an aftermarket would have worked. Not 100% sure though.
