Stolen Catalytic Converter

After reading this thread and reading other threads on a Toyota Tundra Board along with watching a report on television, it is clear that the catalytic converter on Toyotas has become a target. But what I havent found many posts of, was a solution that we could share with each other to prevent the thefts from happening.

If we could do that, this is one less thing we have to worry about.
Any ideas?

It's simple and I already said it-- Create some sort of catalytic converter skid plate to deter thieves from stealing it. Imagine sliding under a 4Runner to steal a cat and finding a skid plate in the way. Now the quick hack job of cutting the exhaust pipes becomes a pain in the ass because the thief also has to deal with removing the skid plate as well. He'll most likely decide to move on to the next victim instead.

I have received all the BudBuilt skid-plates but I don't think they cover it adequately.

That's okay, I was talking about a custom-built skid specifically designed to restrict access to the cat. It could be done on a small budget for sure.
