Well if you are here looking for the cat some yahoo sawed off your 4runner in the parking lot I apologize I haven't confirmed any of these to be it. Although I thought this was well worth sharing.
I was doing a used car check today at work. Typical old beater i thought... well not really. The current owner/seller had failed an emissions test and "got it fixed himself"...... now I'm not sure if he got a 4 for the price of one deal or had a bunch of stolen cats lying around but either way this has got to be one of the worst "fixes" I have ever seen.

There are a total of 5 cats installed in series when including the factory cat at the bottom of the exhaust manifold. Some of the worst welding to top it off.
All in all I'm just glad I didn't have to diagnose a plugged cat and I was able to save some poor soul from buying this heap. Here ladies and gentlemen is the perfect example of why you get a used car check.... probably won't have problems this obvious but the seller was not disclosing this.
