I just removed that crap this weekend. another member suggested steaming the adhesive but since I didn't have access to a steamer, I used my wife's hair dryer to heat it up...then peel it off. Once you heat up the glue, it will peel off. I used my fingers to peel it off. Yes, my fingers were sore when done, but it looks better w/o that cracked/yellow adhesive. I only removed mine after I removed my running boards and installed front mud flaps.

i will try that. no need to have that with the running boards, as the boards act like a mud/splash shield and they protect the flares.

Yeah hair dryer or heat gun. Heat gun works a little faster, just remember to peel nice and slow. If you go to fast it will break apart and your fingers will hate you for having to pick at the corner again to peel.
