Storing Wheels

I have corrosion on my existing wheels and was able to pick up some brand new ones from a guy that took them off his 2013 tacoma... I removed the tires off them because I didn't want them, and now I have these new shiny wheels....but I'm not ready to put them on my t4r because my existing tires still have quite a bit of life in them.

Where's the best place to keep these wheels safe for the next year or two? Still the basement?

Cover them in a tarp :D

You could spray them with something to make sure nothing bad happens, but you'll be fine I'm sure. You could wash them to make sure any salts are off which I would do at a minimum, then if you really wanted could spray them in WD-40. That's what I do with my jet ski for ocean riding to prevent all the salt water spraying on the engine from rusting, works fine; probably overkill for some wheels sitting in a basement though.

+1 on the dub40. That stuff was originally developed to protect missiles from corrosion in damp silos.
