I didn't take any pics while I was doing it but I just taped off a couple inches past the flare line I wanted and threw a towel over the tires while I sprayed. I always do like 6-7 light coats of color and 2-3 coats of glossifier. Still dries in a matte finish but not totally drab.
The upper flares have a natural break that don't require anything but peeling. The lower flares are molded into the plastic of the bumper so there is no natural break. I used a sharp box cutter knife to make the line I wanted and then peeled. With dip its always the masking that takes the longest

It is an easy install in that there are no modifications necessary to install it. One of the big reasons I chose this rack is it is full-length but does not require any drilling.
It does take some time to install just because it is large and on top of the vehicle. Plus you want to have it positioned correctly so the rear hatch will not make contact when opened and also there is a procedure to tightening everything down so it lays flat and smooth. Since the initial install though I haven't had to touch it as far as adjustments. Nothing but good things to say about this rack.

Thanks. Its an Air on Board switch. They fit perfectly in all the blank spots in the 4R and they very reasonably priced

Love your build thread. I will definitely be doing some mods due to your posts. Quick question. Any problems doing the lift with the KDSS?

Thanks. No problems at all with KDSS. Operates exactly the same as before. It does add some time to the install of the lift but no problems with it. There is a thread on the forum here for installing a lift with KDSS that I used as reference. Took me about six hours by myself with garage tools.

So last weekend I went and hit Smiley Rock trail. Last time I hit this trail a downpour of rain hit me halfway through. This time it was much easier with no flood but still a challenge. Definitely not as scenic this time with all the trees in winter mode however.

This area was probably the most difficult as there was no great way to place the tires to get around these three boulders. Eventually I figured it out but with no spotter it was a challenge for sure.
Tires really flexing. I only dropped to 18psi since I knew there would be a lot of pressure on the tires rolling over some of these boulders

Last weekend was excellent weather in Flagstaff/Sedona so Saturday we headed to Sedona for a hike and Sunday we headed to the Cinders OHV area for some 4-wheeling and a campfire. Had a great time as always

Wow, just went through the whole thread. AMAZING photos and scenery! Your photos of the PC'd trail wheels look great and convinced me to do the same, as I've given up locating some black TRD's. Nice work!

So after work yesterday I wanted to get out to Grand Falls since I knew it would be running with all the moisture we have gotten. Outside of people who live in the area not too many people know about or visit this area since it is on Navajo land and very undeveloped (washboard and rough roads to get there). It is actually taller than Niagara Falls at 185 feet but just drop in levels rather than straight down. Pretty cool and no barriers or restrictions on where you can venture to and explore.

So I got in on the group buy for an ARB fridge and while I am waiting for it to arrive I decided to finally do the battery upgrade and auxiliary fuse panel install. Lot of research went into my decisions but I ended up with the following parts:
Odyssey 31M-PC2150ST Battery
Blue Sea 12-Circuit Fuse Block
Blue Sea 100Amp Circuit Breaker
Pelfreybilt Battery Cage
Pelfreybilt Fuse Block Panel
I installed the battery with the Pelfreybilt cage first. Here is what you have once you remove the old battery and tray:
Here are the new parts I planned to install:
In order to get your existing battery cables to attach to the larger battery you have to flatten out the cable bars. I just used a couple pairs of pliers to flatten them out. Since the positive wire to the fuse panel in the engine compartment is so short I decided to attach it to the auxiliary post on the battery rather than having it stretched to the limit to be on the main terminal:
Once the battery was installed I mounted to the fuse panel. I didn't have enough ring terminals to terminate the power wires for the fuse panel so I will have to finish that next week. But everything is mounted and now I just need to run a few wires. Can't wait to get my fridge installed in the next couple of weeks. Goodbye ice!
