StormRunner Build & Adventure Thread

Had an adventure filled weekend. Friday I had off work so headed down for a couple of hikes in Sedona:

Then on Saturday we loaded up the kayaks and headed to Lake Powell to check out Antelope Canyon. Pretty amazing scenery there:

Can you spot the kayak? Some massive walls around the canyon

After kayaking for a while the water ends at a nice beach and you can park and continue on foot into Antelope Canyon

Since we explored so long it ended up being almost sunset as we rolled out of Page so we decided to stop at Horseshoe Bend and take in the sunset

Whoa! I didn't realize antelope canyon was that accessible from the water. Did you guys dock off at Antelope Point launch ramp?

Any permits required other than entrance fees?

Yes I put in at the public ramp of the Antelope Point Marina. It is a pretty short paddle to get around to the entrance of Antelope Canyon. Probably took about an hour of paddling from putting in to landing at the beach at the back of the canyon. I then hiked for a couple hours into the canyon on foot and could have kept going but I wanted to get back on the water.

There are no special permits needed, just pay the fee's at the entrance booth just before the launch ramp.

Great looking build man! I really like the TRD Grille, that is probably going to be my next cosmetic upgrade if I can find one. I will be in Flagstaff for Overland Expo in a few weeks, so I am certainly going to check out the Cinder OHV area where you took those amazing shots!

Very cool. I am REALLY hoping I can make it out to the Expo as it is literally five minutes from my house but I will be having shoulder surgery the day before it starts so we will see how I feel 1-3 days after surgery

I traveled out to Cleveland, Ohio this past week to attend a training class for my work. I have to say it was rough going from my 4Runner to a rental Nissan Rogue but I did get to see some great sights and I got to visit Cuyahoga Valley National Park so another park checked off

I have always been interested in urban photography but never really been at a good location to try it. Cleveland had some great locations though so I took advantage to try to learn

I got to go to Overland Expo West on Saturday morning but I was on crutches since I have a broken foot and could only handle walking around for a couple of hours. Got to see some great products, rigs, and people but only snapped a couple of photos.

I love the Pelfreybilt rigs. They always do quality work:

I also finally got to see Lawndart's rig up close and it is every bit as awesome as I thought it was:

And finally is my dream vehicle, an AEV Ram. These things are just awesome looking and can handle anything:

Headed out to the forest for sunset last night and grabbed a few pics as well:

Very nice. I feel like I can get lost in Lightroom for hours and be perfectly happy. LOVE that program.

spotted you at the expo on saturday. I was parked directly in front of you

Was your rig the MGM Runner? I definitely noticed that one and was eyeing the mods. Great looking truck!

For sure! It is such a powerful program and especially when you have a RAW photo. I am always trying to learn more on there. Thank goodness for Youtube videos.
