Strange Acceleration problem after rebuild

hi I have a question related to a 95 4runner v6 auto. I have recently rebuilt the motor and have got the vehicle all reassembled. Note that the vehicle ran and drove fine(except for the thrown rod bearing) before the tear down. As for the transmission all I repaced initially was the torque converter and the 3 solenoids in the tranny. I also has another transmission in my garage that was freshly rebuilt, I held off on installing this incase I needed it for my higher mileage 4runner.

Now for the problem. when I start it up and go for a drive everything drives normal. it shifts as advertised and if it is warmed up it will go into OD. but after about 1/2 to 1 mile It fees as if something is holing the truck back. it will still shift but it acts like it is under a tremendous load and acceleration is very low. RPM's do not increase out of what would be normal or anything else is out of normal operation. I am boggled and hope you guys can give me a bit of insight

Maybe a sensor somewhere???

What degrees did you set the timing to?
Any chance you have way too much slop in your throttle cable?

timing set at 15* and no slop in the cables at all....it runs fine and normal until it reaches operating temp then it goes south and runs like im pulling a 12 ton trailer
