Strange front end sound. CV going out?

Hey guys, so just recently my front end started making a weird sound. At first I thought it was simply road noise from the tires, but that is definitely not the case.

I'm not really sure how to describe it. It literally sounds like road noise, but it is slightly louder and I can definitely feel some feedback in the pedals and steering wheel at certain speeds (mostly around 35MPH), although the feedback disappears after accelerating. The sounds gets slightly louder and slightly more high pitched the faster I go, but it does not change based on the RPMs. I've tested it, so it makes me think it is after the transmission.

I ripped my CV boot probably around 3000 miles ago, but it was very minor. Since then however, I have driven a lot, done a fair amount of off-roading/rough terrain, and I am thinking it is the cause of the sound. Other than that, the only other thing I can think is the drive shaft. Does anyone have any idea as to what could be causing the sound? Thanks!

Doesn't sound like the CV to me and I've replaced 3 in a short time. No clicking?

Could be a wheel bearing. Drive until you hear the sound and listen carefully while you turn fairly hard from left to right. The noise will usually go away when you turn in one direction.

Note: Wheel bearings can make noise under load and also when unloaded. For example, don't assume the left wheel bearing is the bad one if it makes noise when turning right. I didn't believe that until it happened to me...

Come to think of it, I think the noise does lessen when I turn. So now the bearing makes sense. How difficult is it to replace those?

Edit: After doing more research, I am almost 100% sure that it is the bearing. Everything that everyone else is describing is exactly what I am experiencing. Since I am likely going to replace both CVs soon, I will definitely look at the bearings and replace as needed.

Nope, there is no clicking. It just sounds like a bit of a groan that gets slightly louder and slightly higher pitched as I increase speed.
