My girlfriend just got back from work and called me into garage letting me know about strange noise in garage/buzzing sound,like small pump/...I checked out garage opener,nothing,all three cars are locked,weird... then i start to check all three cars and found buzzing sound around rear left side on my 4runner,just around fuel tank area...I unlocked car and sound is still very audible,opened fuel cap and closed and after few moments sounds was different and disappeared suddenly...I bought fuel few days earlier and i don't think this has to do anything with fuel cap tightness because check engine light will be on/maybe/...car was in garage about 8 hours,locked...sounds to me like fuel pump was working...4 Runner is brand new with 1800 miles...I have also video...any suggestions or advice before i visit dealership???

We'd been smelling really strong gas fumes in the garage all day. After work I walk out and smell all around our car...nope. I smell all around the 4runner (2018)...nope. I remove the fuel cap and re-tighten it just to be sure. Come back out a few hours later...still smells like gas.
The short version is that our lawn tractor fuel filter had started slowly leaking fuel on the garage floor. So about 40 minutes later that is all fixed and everything cleaned up and then I hear this subtle pressure/pump-like noise from the 4runner...so now I'm thinking I have a second fuel problem! Nope.
