Strange rear window thing going on

My rear window is giving me trouble, it will work with the switch at the center consol but, only if the window is down some already. The switch will work the window all the way down and back up again but, once it is up to a closed possession the switch will not work anymore.
If I use the key in the tail gate the window will go up about another inch more so, the switch is not actually putting the window up all the way either, it is stopping short about an inch.
The key works the window just fine but, the switch will only operate the window if it is down some or, all the way already.
The other thing I noticed is that the door lock light in the dash is not lighting up anymore???
Everything was working fine only a few days ago then....:wtf:

I am not sure if this is a limit switch issue or something else???

There's a few switches in the tailgate that let the window relay know if the window is up or not, and the light uses one of those. The other possibility is that the window relay has gone bad.

I had an extra relay, the one that is right behind the drivers seat on the wall of the truck. I replaced it and nothing changed?? I will have to go into the tailgate and check around. Is there another relay for the window in the tailgate?

Everything uses the one relay pack, but there are a few switches and sensors in the gate. They're pretty easy to figure out.

when i got mine the window didnt work either, so i took a d/p-d/t switch from radio shack and made my own switch. of course this only works if the motor works to.

The motor works fine, no issue there:
This week I will open up the tailgate to see if I can find the glitch.

Now I get a CEL after about 3 miles of driving, not sure what that is about...
Truck runs like a Timex????
The Check Engine Light comes on and stays on but, is dim lit. If I turn off the truck for a moment then, restart it the CEL goes away until I drive the truck a few miles then it pops back on.

Could be a bad upper limit switch in the tailgate.

i found it much easier to wire my own, plus it opened up the seat space for this

Love the cup holder!! My power window is acting up also usually a few raps on the tailgate and it starts working.Most of the time it works correctly.When it quits I'll fix it alot easier to find the problem when it's broke.

Well....The limit switch is working but, a circuit is grounding out...possibly a diode is the issue. I do not have an in depth schematic only a basic one so, I have no idea what diode it is:shrug:

I just disconnected the limit switch and the window goes up and down now with out issue.

As for my CEL coming on, I need a new o2 sensor.
