Strange Sound when i Brake???

I have this bizarre sound when i hit the brakes. Its a pretty hefty vibration/humm when i come to a complete stop and it fluctuates and even goes away when i move the steering wheel from the left to right. It seems to be almost not existent when i center the wheels. For those of you who dont know its a 1997 4runner SR5. Any thoughts?

Is it coming from the front or rear? Warped rotors maybe?? Take the tires off and take a look and compare it to the other side.

Is it possible you are getting the front brake pad wear warning? This truck tends to wear unevenly so turning the wheel might change the pressure from the worn pad to the other. If you have checked the pads for wear, I apologize for pointing out the obvious.

It's definitely in the front of the vehicle. I agree its definitely related to the brakes. I will take a look at it today. The interesting part is how it stops or fluctuates with the turning of the steering wheel. Thanks for the info and any more thoughts are always welcome.

Wanted to update everyone. I met with a mechanic yesterday afternoon and he is pretty confident that my power steering pump is cavitating or has air within the system. He is going to take a closer look at it this weekend.
