Strange Tail light issue

Noticed earlier tonight that when I turn on my lights ( Never on Auto on), my right tail light will not light up as standard... But upon pressing the brake pedal it will light up!

The bulb is fine, and all the wires appear to be in the right place. No ones been inside there since I last replaced the bulb months earlier.

Did a little looking and couldn't find much, first problem I've had with the rig like this...

Anyone got any insight?

Make sure everythingg is seated properly. Even if the bulbs look fine, swap sides if you have to, thats the real test.

I'm not sure its a bulb issue, because the bulb still lights up... but ill give it a shot

I'm thinking its electrical since it works when the pedal is depressed but does not when its stationary with the lights "on"

The bulb is bad; try another bulb.

Edit: the 7443 bulb is a dual filament bulb.
