I've been having some transmission problems in the past year. The 4runner sometimes wouldn't shift past 3rd gear or would sometimes shake really hard when I'm stopping. I was told it was a solenoid problem and had it replaced. A year later same problem came back and this time i went to a shop that specialize in transmission. They told me it was probably just the connection plug being dirty.
But then they told me something else was wrong. Now I'm not exactly sure what it is and don't have any pictures but i was told that theres really bad weathering in the wires and they're all stuck together.
The issue now is there are these contact pins stuck in the transmission harness on the vehicle side and that they have already replaced the internal harness.
I was also told that the part itself would cost over 2k and the shop says i only need a very small part from it. They tried to source it from junk yards but so far no luck.
If anyone have had this problem before, please shed some light my way! :rain::rain::rain:
