And what are those small vertical slits on each side, close to the center? Very excited to see the finished product, nice work guys!

Yes, that's a light bar mount. The vertical slots on each side are where the lightbar mounts tab in and will not be visible on the finished bumper.

It has two sets of mounting holes. One for no body lift and one for a 1" body lift!
