Strong Vibration?

So I got pro comp 17x9 and Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's in 285/70/17 installed about two weeks ago. Once I get past 40 I get a pretty strong vibration in my steering wheel, sort of goes away between 55-60 and returns again, at 75 the vibration in the cabin is strong enough to the point where my seats and various objects shake. Did the shop just do a lousy job balancing or is this common with these tires. I don't drive much on the highway but would like for the annoying shake to go away. I realize they're M/T's not A/T's so I don't expect them to be as smooth as my previous tires obviously. Also told by my buddy about balancing beads? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

They need to be rebalanced. You shouldn't be having a problem if the tire shop can nail the balancing

The tire shop needs to rebalance. If any of the tires/wheels required a lot of weight to balance then the tire should be turned 180° on the wheel to see if that helps. I wouldn't suggest balancing beads at this point.

Thanks for the reply, I will take it back for them to do it over, I have lifetime balancing/rotation so I'll take it back until they get it right. Hopefully it doesn't take too many tries!

Rebalance them. When i had the nitto trail mt tires they were pretty smooth.

That's good to hear, I thought I was gonna have to compromise on the ride quality for the aggressive look I wanted. After this thread I'm hopeful that's not the case. Were yours smooth even at higher speeds? Say over 55? Thanks.

Yup, no question. Rebalance. MT's may be loud, but they should still be smooth.

A road force balance costs a bit more, but is worth it from my experience. Get all 4 done.

Unless its a bad tire, it should be smooth ride at all speeds.

Yeah they were smooth. My LandRover never really went over 65 as it was basically a trail rig and had the aerodynamics of a box. You may feel a little tread vibration, but not unbalanced vibration.
