Strut problem? Brake upgrade?

hey guys...I originally posted this in the maintenance section and had no replies. Im hoping for more here...


My rig: 98 SR5 116k

The first issue is that there is a squeaking sound coming from the front end. The ride is pretty rough. Is this a strut issue? Any recommendations for replacements? Also, is it worht replacing the front shocks at the same time? I replaced the rears 2 yrs ago.

2nd issue. I recently mounted the BFG all terrain TA KO's 265 75 16. i know they are heavier than the stock tires. i am running the brembo rotors from tire rack with performance friction pads. Upgrade took place at 84k so its time for a pad change soon. should i upgrade the rotors as well for the added weight of the tires?

Front struts and shocks are the same thing. I recommend OME, if you want a nice smooth ride then you want part number N91SC. What tire pressure are you running?
Your brakes are fine with the 265/75s, unless you feel that you want more. Some people want better than stock brake feel and opt for the Tundra brake upgrade.

thx for the reply. I have the KYB monomax shocks on the back. Im wondering what the ride diff is between The KYB's for the front and the OME.
