Struts recommendation

So many choices. 287K... Time for new struts/shocks. I occasionally tow a lightweight travel trailer and enjoy exploring dirt roads. Please advice. Can't afford extreme top of line replacements. Thanks

you would probably be happy with bilstein 5100s . they aren't too expensive and if you do the work yourself your all in cost is probably only a few hundred US$ including the rental of a spring compressor

Bilstein 5100s are solid. Bilstein 4600s are basically the same shock, but non-adjustable and meant for stock height applications.

Fox 2.0 or Billstein 5100. I've both on my 4runners (4th gen and fifth gen). Fox is more expansive where Billstein is simpler and more affordable, both well made.

I just put in Old Man Emu 884/896 with their softer valved shocks on my 4th gen v6. Very happy with it. It does add a couple inches of lift though.
