Struts/Shocks & Alignment

So I scheduled a wheel balance and rotation for today and was thinking of doing an alignment as well. I don’t know when the last time it was done and I can tell by looking at the front of the truck it has some positive camber. However, I need to replace the shocks soon. So my question is do struts and shocks affect the alignment on these vehicles? I don’t want to pay $100 for an alignment and then have to do it again after the struts and shocks.

Might as well wait until you replace the your suspension.
