Stubbs HD-SKO Rock Sliders

Ordered a set of Stubbs Welding HD-SKO Sliders a couple of weeks ago and finally got them welded up this evening. After a lot of debate I decided to go with the Stubbs HD-SKO because I like the design of them better than others that are out there. I got the Wabbit to weld them up for me because he's not far from home and I've heard a ton of good stuff about him and his work.

I really like the look now that they're on, I'm undecided about adding grip tape to the boards because it's going to rub my leg raw probably. I may just add it where I need it to get to the roof rack (if it ever gets here) and try to leave spots where my (and passengers') legs will rub.

It took a little over three hours to get the job done but some of that was us BSing and playing with my dogs. He did a great job and was very precise about everything; I'd recommend WabFab to anyone in the area (Central AL) needing something similar done. He also makes a ton of stuff for 1st & 2nd gen 4Runners & pickups, and a few things for later gens.

I also recommend Stubbs to anyone looking for weld on sliders, Richard is a great guy and even held a discount price for me for much longer than I would've expected (almost 2 months). The sliders are awesome and he had them at my door in barely over a week, would've been quicker but a weather delay held UPS up.

I don't know why I didn't take this picture earlier, it was the main angle I looked for but couldn't find. It's hard to tell because of the shadows but the sliders are 71" and stretch from about 1/4-1/2" behind the front fender flare (I'd imagine this would keep it from hitting the mud flap if you still have them) to even with the rear wheel opening.
