Stuck in 4-low

I'm new to 4-runners I just got a 91 v6 auto and when it warms up it goes i to 4low on its own. I have only drivin it once this is why the seller sold it. Any Ideas? I searched this for about an hour and nothing related to this.

back ground info:
I'm not new to toyota's I have a 77 celica that I put the 7mge in with the w58 tranny. And I have 86 pickup with 22ret that is going into my brother's 77 celica.

Im having the same problem, but my shift is completely out of the transfer-case. Im thinking a new assembly might do the trick. http://www.trail-gear.com/shifter-single.html
But Im not positive. Its pretty piss-poor that no one has replied to you. This is my first post.

That shifter won't help him, it's for a manual transmission's t-case, and he has an auto transmission which has an integral t-case.

The ECT module controls the t-case as well as the tranny, so it could be a problem with that, or some sensor.

Does the t-case shifter operate properly?

I found a rebuilt tranny that I'm putting in. The 4-runner has 215000 miles on it. so a rebuilt one sounds like the way to go.
