Stuck in Colorado springs, need to borrow a welder

I broke a weld holding my camber adjustment cam in place, need to weld it to the frame before I can get my alignment back in place. Trying to leave town in the morning, anybody in C.S. have a welder I can use tonight for a few minutes?

I wish I could be helpful but I don't have a welder anymore. My welder was a 220v welder and I didn't want to run a 220v outlet in a rental house. I haven't bought a 110v welder to replace it yet.

I don't know how much a mobile welder will charge you but you can usually find their services on craigslist.

I broke it on Poughkeepsie Gulch, made what adjustments I could to the toe and drove it here. Just noticed the broken welds about an hour ago

Guys - how about series car battery welding? We've done it on the trail on some of the jeeps. It ain't pretty, but it works.

Arc Welding with 3 Car Batteries (Tutorial & Demo)

Emergency welding technique using 3 car batteries wired in series. Knowing how to do this may just save you from haivng to leave your rig out in the middle of nowhere. If you're going to go wheeling you need to know how to save your own butt. AAA doesn't respond if your 20 miles off the beaten path. This is the second video that I've done on this subject. The first video showed me doing an acutal trail repair, but wasn't very detailed. I had so many responses from people that didn't understand what was going on, or for some reason thought it wasn't possible, that I decided to do a video in a controlled environment and show exactly what welding with car batteries is all about.



This is an easy set up, and does the job in a tough situation.

That's how the hard-core fixes 'em on the trails! This is actually how they power the Ready Welder unit for thicker metals.

And it does work. I've seen it done.

Do the math 800 amps x3 - that's a lot of amps! Plenty to do a quick welding fix.

Like Mr. Ohm quoted long ago - "It's not the volts that gets you. It's the amps!"

Thanks guys. I found a lawnmower shop this morning that let me borrow their flux core welder, got it welded on and aligned. Sending this from a campsite way above 11 Mile Canyon
