Stuck in mud, did damage!

Stuck my truck today, I could walk on the surface of the mud I was stuck in, weird! We finally got it out, 2 hours later. No wreckers would come after me. I got a ride to tractor supply and bought a snatch strap. We ripped the skid plate off.

I love these tires, but in sand and deep dirt, they rob all my power. I feel like a gutless wonder. I have definitely got to get a supercharger. My kids hate them because they grip so well we can't do doughnuts in the sand and dirt anymore!

No, he's a coworker. I called another coworker with a rented Nissan Pathfinder. I stuck it and had to call the Durango out to pull him out. Both those trucks had street tires, which sucked bad. I tried 30 ft. of chain I carry. Only got out after I bought the snatch strap.

I do plan to fix the skid plate, maybe. The front peice is ok, but the rear half is pretty much totalled. I may manufacture one out of good steel, unless you guys can recommend one you have used. Heavy duty, of course.

If you need a new skid plate look into the Bud Built skids plates they've saved my bacon a few times.

I have a stock 3rd gen skid laying around if your interested in that.

Is that your skid plate sticking out the front of the runner in that one picture? And it seems like you did that damage pulling it out right? Like smallfry said, look into BudBuilt!

Arizona. I'd say $90, if you want photo's of it let me know, it has no dents but a rust spot or two (not bad).

yeah i did the same thing when i tried going in the mudpit in hollister after it had just rained for 5 days straight and it was snowing at the time. bummer!
