stumped on a door part name

Hey, folks - What the hell do you call the little arm thing that keeps the front/rear doors somewhat open? Not the main hinges, the thing that attaches to the body and then goes inside the door. I assume you can pull the door panel to get to it for replacement. Anyone done it?

We call it the "door check" but I'm sure toyota has some other name..

Yep, door check. Need to replace mine as well. Seems like when I looked around several months back the cheapest I saw a new one was around $75. I thought about used, but scared that it wouldn't be in much better condition than the one I currently have.

Check strap. Any time we get a used door at work to swap it always comes with all parts and we usually throw out or recycle (metal) the left overs. Seems like such a waste. Maybe go around to some local body shops and see if they have one that will work, they might even give it to you free. Front or rear door? I have a couple for rear doors when I swapped mine out, you pay shipping and I'll give one to you if you can't find one locally.
