Stumped

Im asking for a friend. Vehicle is a 2004 GX470. He took it out to the trails and decided to trek thru water on a trail without checking the depth. Needless to say it was deep, he ended up pushing the front bumper into the fenders and bottoming out the front. Other than some cosmetic damage to the bumper and fog lights, the power steering is gone. No whine, no leaks. The CEL and VSC light were on. I did pull the ground to reset and the lights did go out. I have drove the vehicle a few miles and it has not come back on but the power steering is still out. Any one have an idea where to start?

Change ALL the fluids before you drive it. probably got water in the diff's power steering, engine oil etc.
