STUPID 3.0 head gasket!! JUNK JUNK JUNK!!

These 3.0 engines are JUNK! This is my second truck with the 3.0 and coming home from work it decided to piss out coolant from the back of the drivers side head. The best part is that the head gasket recall has already been done by the dealer some time ago!! My 89 truck blew a head gasket. That is why I do not understand people putting hop-up parts on the 3.0 like expensive headers and cold air intakes:wtf:I'm going to fix the 4Runner and down the road it goes. Anyone want to buy a lifted 4Runner?:AK47::gun5::uzi::gun4:

if they repaced it, is it not under warranty. the thing i got says if there is any scoring on any part of the block, they have to replace the whole f-ing block. maybe they cut a corner and you could get another dealer to vouch for crappy work done... when did you have your 89 done? mine was never done, and i wondered if they would still honor it?

They will still honor it if it applies to that truck call the dealer and give them the vin and they will let u know I called for my 90 and they said they would fix mine plus the steering rod recall for free ii just gotta set up an appoinment

And, to be fair, I have put head gaskets on a 1998 Chevy Venture, and a 2006 Nissan Sentra. Both under 130K miles. And lets face it, head gaskets are probably the ONLY problem you will run into.

I'm a mechanic so I will be fixing it myself as I did on my 89. I already called Toyota themselves, not the dealer. The head gasket recall was done I think in 96 or something like that. The truck was originally from southern Pennsylvania and I live in NY. I think I'm the 3rd or 4th owner. I also asked Toyota about the head gasket recall and they are not doing them anymore. I called last year to find out about all the recalls on the truck. The steering relay rod they are still doing because it is a safety issue. My local dealer said they haven't done a 3VZ head gasket recall in roughly 10 years. If by any chance any dealer in NY is still doing these recalls please let me know!! I will ship it to them!!

Campaign Program, the head
gaskets will be replaced on all the
affected vehicles regardless of
leakage or not, and there will not
be any age, mileage or time
restrictions under the Special
Service Campaign."

Remember guys the head gasket recall has been done by them already and I doubt they will do it again, would be nice though!

Ok I called Toyota Motor Company and since the head gasket has been done once they will not warranty it again so whoever said they will is not true or since the dealerships are privately owned they may have covered it under their cost to keep a customer happy.

IF the vehicle hasnt already had the recall performed hope this helps print it out and bring it with you just in case they try to pull one over on you. that way you have something to show them that came from toyota

You say there is no time limit, are u sure??? off the pdf from Google as you say... I read this..

This Special Policy Adjustment
extended the warranty coverage for the head gaskets to 8 years or 100,000 miles
(whichever occurred first) or 12 months from the date of the owner notification letter
