stupid color

should i keep the stock tan color or should i paint it something else if i go with a different color i still want it to blend in to the environment around me which is mainly sand sand oh wait more sand and the occasional pine tree any suggestions? :artist:

desert camo. no. just kidding.

Imperial Jade Green Mica. Official factory color option. it's mine. blends in well with wooded areas and whatnot.

i bet if you go get a quote to do a full color change the right way on a vehicle that size w/ that many openings, you will soon love your factory color! either that or sell it and buy one in another color, it would probably be cheaper.

If you're talking about the Desert Dune color, that is my favorite color on 3rd Gen's. Gives it that "safari expedition rig" look. You will really see a difference if you add a lift and tires, then maybe a front ARB bull bar. There was a guy on yotatech (in the galleries section) with a lift, bull bar, and the whole works. Looked ridiculous.

money is not the issue im going to school for auto body and custom fabrication. we have a mixing station so every color know and unknown to man is at my finger tips all i have to do is spend 150 or so on some good clear coat so i dont get the piney pinstripes going down the side of my truck.

Mine is that tan color too, is that "Desert Dune"? I've put enough pin stripes on it in the last 3 months since I bought it that I'm thinking about repainting it next fall. The FJ's come in a color called "Sandstorm" which blows my mind.

That is also an awesome color. It would be cool to see it on a 3rd Gen (minus the white roof).
