Stupid Parking Lot Poles

So this morning I was in a parking lot and did not notice the steel poles that were in between each parking space. I pulled through and begin to turn right until I heard the most horrific sound ever.

I reversed and went to check the damage, my passenger door where it meets the Fender Flare was scratched up, dented, chipped, the plastic flare attached to the rear passenger door was ripped off.

I was beyond pissed but anyways life happens so now I am trying to correct it.

I am going to take it into a shop to be assesed and quoted to be fixed up with scratches, dents, painting and such.

But I am wondering if any of you might know where I might be able to find a replacement black fender flare for the rear passenger door? Do you think the dealer would be able to order this specific replacement piece? Let me know thanks! I would post pics up but I am too embarrassed and bummed to show anyone...

for some people who are crazy weekend warriors, they dont even give a sh@t about the dents anymore lol as for fender go after market genuien toyota part for that is around 200-300

:cry2: You'll just have to find a winch and even the score! Sucks to hear man, we all make stupid mistakes. I know I can't be the only one who forgets about those stupid poles by the gas pumps. Smacked a few of those in my day.

In my attempt to embelish my truck's appearance by waxing, I tried drying the body quicker with my air compressor, when I pulled the air line the compressor tipped and it's tall handle hit the truck right on the body line which created not only scratches but a noticeable dent..dumb but i got over it.

Not to say you'll get over yours by not having the damage fixed but...that's one un-expected expense that could've gone towards a mod you've been wanting now spent for fixing...Bummer! but we all make mistakes..

sorry for your damage, but I have to say, I saw the title of the post and there was no way I was not reading it LOL

I will say that the best place to get fenders is junk yards, waaay cheaper, OEM and will probably be in good shape,

Yeah Pics or it didnt happen..LOL We all know you just wanted your truck to look faster by adding a Yellow racing stripe. You know a good set of sliders would have kept you off that pole. But it does kind of give strong evidence of you being a "Mall Crawler". It is all good and we all have a Bad Day now and then, you just happen to have a bad day that left proof.

Oh oh I know, just tell people you were Wheeling in Yellowstone on a really gnarly tail and got the damage there(if Pole was yellow)and about the amazing bright Yellow Boulders you found or in Red Rock if the pole was red.

Like others have said, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. I had my Mtn. Bike strapped to my roof and when I went to unhook it I didnt leave enough slack in the one side still holding it. I went to walk around and just as I realized it the Bike leaned over and left a few dents and scratches as it fell of the roof.

Yeah, I have it coming, too. The times when my wife is talking to me, and both kids are screaming at me from the back, and I'm just ready to back up out of my parking space, only to realize just in time that I have it in Drive for Go....

I one backed my truck into a lightpole in a parking lot! Luckily, only hit my trailer hitch ball! Four years ago, my mom borrowed my truck to go shopping, when backing the truck back into it's parking spot at home, she had mistaken the gas pedal for the brake, and rammed the truck into her deck! $5000.00 later, and I got myself a new rear bumper, bumperette, recycled hatch, and the whole truck was cut and polished!:jaw drop:
