Stupid Q - Dome Light

How do I get the cover off my 1st Gen to replace the bulb(s)?
Don't want to break it.

I used a screwdriver and took it real slow. I would put a piece of leather or something soft between the plastic lens and the screwdriver to "soften" the point where you pry. It's worked for me every time. If the lens has any burned looking places on it go a different spot to pry. Also if someone has better idea go with theirs... I have broken a lens on a car before doing it may way.

Okay, it came off without too much difficulty or damage. The PO had said he'd replaced the bulb a few times and it kept burning out. The bulb I pulled wasn't burned out, but did have corrosion on the end tips. I put in a new one (right before a roadtrip) and cleaned the contacts with some electrical contact cleaner. So far, so good.

Yeah, it's amazing how such a simple little convenience like a dome light can be so helpful.

lol, yea, mine doesnt work the PO put a 'stick and click' led light, that works well but ghetto as hell
