Stupid question - what size are my wheels?

Where do I measure them to get the size? 2004 sr5. When I measure across them I get about 18-1/2". I would have thought they were 17". So I am assuming the wheel size is measured in from the edge o the wheel and mine are 17s. I'm hoping to pick up some 07 FJ wheels soon for summer wheels as mine have some curb rash from the PO.

Lmao - no need to measure. It says it right on the sidewall of the tire. Those should be the SR5 16 inch rims. It will say something like 265/70 R16 - The 16 means it's a 16 inch rim.

The wheel size should be on the rim... cast into it. Your tire also has its size on it.

For 2004 I distinctly recall 16s being the standard for an SR5. They did appear similar to the Limited 17s tho. I may be mistaken but I believe those to be 16s. I went on tirerack and they show the standard for the SR5 to be a 265/70 16.

I'm skeptical... totally plausible though, mine is an 03. I thought the 16's looked different though. wouldn't the stock size be 265/75/16 to be equal to the 265/70/17 or 265/60/18 ?

My 03 SR5 came with those rims and mine are 17's as well. It was an available option over the 16's.
