Stuttering upon acceleration

This problem has been happening for a while now but its just now getting to the point of annoyance. My truck has 210k roughly and was rebuilt at 203k. When i got the truck back from the shop it did it horribly and i started with the basics. Plugs, same thing. Plug wires, same. Replaced the fuel filter bingo. Problem solved. I also installed a S&B intake. Of course when i hit the gas it does the awesome noise and the truck stutters. So my question is what is the problem? Could it be the fuel filter again or something else? Or just maybe a side affect from the intake.
Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Certainly could be fuel filter again.
Have you checked for CEL codes? If its TPS or something it might have set an error code in the ECM.

its likely an igniton issue.

i would double check the plugs. make sure theyre gapped correctly.
and also the distributor cap.

Take it back to the shop you had the engine worked on in, no matter how long it has been. Let them know that this started happening after they fixed it, and I bet they will cut you a hell of a deal and you wont have to stress over what it is anymore. I bet it could be the filter again if that fixed the problem last time but you never know. Have them run a test on the fuel pressure. I tell you what, for all of the money that you have already spent on it I would stop chasing and let them deal with it. It could be a simple fix atleast you would know.
