subwoofer added to Factory system

I want to add a subwoofer to the stock system. I did a search but couldn't find an answer to this question when it involves maintaining my factory navigation and JBL 10 speaker system. I was thinking about the JL cleansweep and adding a small amp and subwoofer. Do you think this is possible?

I know I can put a line out converter but have heard there are a lot of problems with these. Is the Cleansweep just a glorified line out converter? Thanks for the help.

Yes and No.

Yes the cleansweep does basically the same things as a LOC.

But no it's not the same. Cleansweep takes your factory signal and turns the signal into a flat, clean easy to adjust using an amplifier.

A LOC basically just turns hi-level into low-level, thats it. There is only so much an amplifier and EQ can do with a bad signal. With a clean flat signal the cleansweep produces, EQs and amps are easily adjusted to produce the best sound.

And yes you can put an amplifier on all of those 10 speakers. I'm assuming by 10 its a midbass and tweeter in each door, the center channel and a subwoofer? I'm a 3rd gen guy and I haven't gotten a JBL 10-speaker at my shop in a while now so I forgot.

You would essentially need atleast a 5 channel amp and would ditch the center channel speaker.
