I am planning to put some subs in my 4th gen and i was wondering if what yall thought or what kinda subs yall can recommend to hook up to the stock non JBL stereo w\aux?

also i have a fear that if i get big subs that the vibrations will knock the rear glass off track and either break or just not operate anymore? kinda stupid but just wondering.

comments and suggestions please :)
thank you!

I dont think you will be happy running subs off the stock HU .

What kind of music do you listen to ?

I have a 12" powered by a 600 W Sony amp , BUT I listen to rock . If your gonna run dual 12's and listen to crap ,er.. I mean rap ya I believe thats tough on the nuts and bolts :D

you aren't going to break anything...in my 3rd gen 4runner I had 3 JL Audio 10W6's running in parallel pushing close to 150DBs and nothing ever broke. Im a JL Audio fan they require less airspace, last forever and can pick up deeper base..they just sound cleaner without 'bottoming out' but to each their own.

It will not be a proble. I have a W7 running 1200watts and nothing is loose. I was worried about this too but it will be fine.

i got 2 12s w3v2 in the ho box (high output), its a ported box powered by jl audio 500/1amp and i play my system at 20 on my pioneer 8600 deck, recently i upgraded my fronts from a/d/s/ al6 to some a/d/s/ 346is component speakers and feeding them 150watts each on my jl audio 300/4 amp, and i also have a/d/s/ 336im on my back doors with 150watts each to them powered by kicker 300.4 amp. i have light vibration outside , it comes from the tailgate on the wiper part.
