Sucko Wipers

I got a new windshield put in today, as the old one was really pitted.

So, I decided to go treat myself to some new wipers just so I could bathe in the glory of beautiful window. Got some Armor All silicone ones--at $25 each!

Well, they miss the very top and very bottom stretches in their swing on the driver's side, and don't fully touch down on the far passenger side.

I'm thinking of bending them a bit, but I'm reluctant to frig around with them for fear of making it worse.

Should have got Bosch Icon's. They pretty much rock.

I'd tweak the ones you have....not wiping well would bother me more than if I broke one or messed it up trying to make it better.

im a big fan of the costco wipers lol they're cheap and they work wonders

I just replaced the rubber part of the wipers...got them from a stealership here in town for i think like 12-15 bucks...

I'm working on finding a junkyard replacement wiper arm that will allow for better contact/wipe/.

I'll try tweaking them and keep my eye out for my next set of blades. I had a fairly standard blade on before, and it was rubbing in the driver's lower left corner, making a really annoying sound.

I rain-x my windshield and rarely use my wipers unless its a really bad rainstorm.

I might try the Rain-X again. I had something on there, but the windshield was so pitted it didn't help the way I wanted.

I said screw the Armor-All wipers and returned them. I'll use my old faithfuls with the metal frame. They actually don't work as crappy as they did on the old window. I think the problem was with the sucko pitted windshield and not with the wiper I was using. That's what you get for trying to be spoiled and buying the most expensive wiper.

My wipers lift every single down swipe when I'm on the highway. I have tried several different brands and they all do it (though duralast was the worst, I will never use them again, even if they are free)

So, it's not just my T4R that has sucky windshield whipers. That's good to know. All mine do is just leaves smear, streeks, make a horrible rubbing noise. What's the best windshield whiper for 3rd gen T4Rs?

I have the Valeo's. I like them better than the Rain-X wipers.

whats a good kind to get for winter time, dealing with snow/freezing weather??? This will be my first winter ever with snow, ice and all that stuff and I've heard I should get special wipers for it....

x2 on the michelins. They worked well for me when walmart used to sell them...don't see them now.

I have the same wipers on my truck that the previous owner used and they do an excellent job....need to figure out what they are for future purchase. I started using rain-x for bugs but like the fact I don't need my wipers unless there is a downpour also.
