Suggestion on Hitch Shackle

I want to get a d shackle that goes in the hitch. Anybody have any suggestions?

That's the EXACT one I got.

I got mine from 4Wheel Parts retail store.

I've never had to use it...so glad.

I saw MCL_68 use it to tow out MysticZ

I got mine off Ebay about a week ago. It ended up being cheaper than the Smittybilt off amazon so I went with it and I liked the silver ring w/ red pin look better. Here's a link to it incase you're looking to save like 10 to 15 bucks. With shipping it was cheaper so...

Yeah, your right. It's $50+. I just went ahead and got the Smittybuilt one. I had heard good things about the Warn one, but didn't want to spend over $50.

The Smittybuilt weights close to seven pounds.

I just carry a trailer tongue with no ball and a 1" tractor chain shackle from Tractor Supply. I put the tongue in sideways to use it. Both I had lying around anyway. Stronger and cheaper than your fancy ones, but not as purty.

Edit: Before someone asks, I did have to drill an extra set of hitch pin holes to use it sideways. It holds a chain better that way. I use chain for things like pulling a bush hog out from under a tractor stuck in the mud or hauling a cut tree out of the woods. (That'll KILL a strap.)

Haha. That's a pretty good idea.

I need something that looked good since I plan on keeping this in all the time.
