Suggestions for Light Duty Off-Roading around Los Angeles environs?

Anyone have any ideas for some easy going trails or light off road adventures? Im not too courageous when it comes to taking the runner of road... But I need to get out and explore?

Try Hungry Valley, just stay off of the really steep stuff and you'll be fine.

If I recall, certain sections of Mulholland Drive were unpaved and cratered.
