Suggestions needed for ipod install

OK, I need your suggestions on where I should install the Dice Electronics iPod adapter in my truck. Currently I have it in the glove box, but I'd like to have it routed under the center console with the cable coming out of the arm rest box. However, I'm hesitant about cutting a hole in the box to route the cable.

What are your thoughts?

Mine sits under the head unit behind the ac controls. The wire comes up through one of the false buttons. I notched it so the wire doesnt get pinched. Those are not very expensive to replace if you ever need to or sell the car.
