suggestions on lifts

first time post, i was planning to get a 4 inch lift on my 97 4runner limited, was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of what kind of lift i should get... also experiences and problems they had in the past wtih there lifts(planning to get a suspension lift, no body or spacers)

why only suspension?

Im doing suspension because i know friends in the past that had problems with body and spacers

id get sus then at least get a 1 or 2 inch rb body lift.

I have 3 inchs now of sus but plan on getting another 2 inchs from body mounts

can clear 285s a lot easier and no major rubbing issues at stuffing.. still will rub but not as bad.

Going over 3" will also lighten your wallet since you do have to worry about driveline and front CV angles.

Thanks for the info RonMAIDEN.

Any suggestions of what size tires i should get if i get a 4 inch lift? am i able to sqeeze in 35's or to tight? or should i go with 33's?

35s is sort of out of the question inless you do 4 inch sus and 3 inch body.

then you still have to trim inner wheels and get shaved a arms

33s will fit with some trimming too.

33s would be the biggest because 35s would require regearing probablly
