suggestions on new set of tires, tired of vibration and noise from duractracts

Toyo atii!

I am a big fan of my Toyo AT2, although I dont like them as much as the AT1. They are quiet

I've been very happy with my Toyo ATII Tires. I have the E rated version which has rather deep tread and a nice side wall. I usually run them just over 40psi.

hey guys as my duratracts have worn they are making a lot more noise, very loud noise and vibrating significantly. balancing and rotations have not done them justice. any suggestions on an AT tire thats smooth and no noise that still looks pretty nice and mean. i just can't stand driving these on the hwy not to mention they feel loose on the hwy.

I just went from my stock 20" wheels and tires to 265 70 R17 Bfgoodrich KO2. I love the look of the KO2 and they seem quiet to me (although louder than the stock "street tires" that came on my limited).

So i just got an allignment, set my caster as close to 4 without going off on the camber. car pulls to the right now, will take it back. I also tried my brothers wheels and tires from his tacoma, bf rugged terrain. They ride smooth and there isn't any road noise. Compared to my duratracts, its night and day. However they aren't nearly as aggressive as the duratracts. I really love the aggressive look of the duratracts but will have to swap them out due to vibration and noise. been reading on the suggested tires and will narrow the selection soon.

I got 40K miles on my Duratrac's (C load) and couldn't take it anymore! I drive 40 miles on the highway to and from work and just couldn't deal with the noise , vibrations and sliding in the snow. The Duractrac's were OK for the first 20k miles. After that they were torture. I picked up the KO2's (C load) and couldn't be happier. I'm talking night and day! Right after the install I drove to Austin from Denver without any problems what so ever!

I love the look but now I feel like as they wear they too will get louder like the duratracts. Can anyone chime in on this? I'm leaning more towards the cooper at3 just to be on the safe side of quiet and no vibrations. Driving to Austin from south texas I would have to talk louder than normal because of the duratracts.

New here, but been driving my Toyo Open Country R/Ts for a few days now and really pleased with the ride and low noise. I was going with Nitto Terra Grapplers, but the shop recommended these as Toyo's newest offering. Good balance of aggressive look and low noise.

Reminds me of my Nitto Dune Grapplers I ran on my 07 Wrangler. Just not everyone likes flame pattern sidewalls I think they discontinued those anyway.

I've got KOs with 30K miles on them and they are very quiet. KO2s should be similar. I've also KOs on other vehicles with more miles on them and they are still very quiet.

Well, I haven't had the BFGs long enough for a full report on longevity but they most definitely are much quieter than the Duratracs were when they were brand new. And the BFGs are 285s (vs 265 Duratracs). I actually cannot hear them at all unless I'm out of the city (ambient noise) with the windows down.

Toyo AT2's or BFG TA KO2. I would have gone Toyo's had they offered a C-rated tire. Also hear good things about the Nitto TG2's.

I have the KO2's in E load on the wife's GX460 because they only had e-load in 18's at the time, and they are smooth and way more quiet than my duratracs. Love them so far! We make trips to the Valley all the time

Changed the Tires to 275/65r18 BFG KO2's agressive look on side wall looks awesome.

Cool thanks guys, I called the local discount tire and tech there also recommended bfg ko2. I had the nitto tg. It was actually pretty good but I went to duratracts because of the aggressive look and now this dilemma. The tech at discount tire quoted me $872 plus taxes for bfg ko2 265/70/17.
