So I got a maglite that I keep in pocket behind me , so today go to check batt. and bam batt had leaked & won't come out , any Magiver's with helpful comments on removal of said batt. ? AA s

I had the same thing happen years ago in my 6 cell maglite and never got the last battery out. Good Luck

Haha PBblaster! I don't have much knowledge about bad batteries. Are you saying that battery acid started forming inside the maglight and now they're stuck and you cant get them out?

I'd probably just replace it if it's giving you that much trouble. Maybe try some break free if you have it. Just be sure to clean it well if you get them out.

Yes to both posts , wow I can't believe this hasn't happened to someone ? I'm not sure why it happens frankly , not shit batt. duracell , & in vegas its not like brutal conditions unless when it's hot they expand ?

Thanks to google: "When the batteries get hot, the paste inside expands, and forces chemicals out of the seals in the bottom and top of the battery"
Try using some vinegar since the powder is a base. That may ruin the inside of the maglight though. That all the help i have to offer. Goodluck!!

Yup, acid. I'd start with something milder than vinegar though, try soaking the thing in a can of Coke.

Dont keep this one in the seat pocket. Make a clamp for it and keep it out in the open, next to your seat, under the steering wheel, or the rear storage compartment.

Let it soak, man. At least overnight. Give the acid time to do it's thing.

Found a nice energizer 1 for 20$ AA batt led other wasn't , and nice one of those headlamps for 10$ & has night vision !! Sweeet maybe
