Last week I decided to remove and replace the rusty factory skid plate on my 07 4Runner. In the process sheared one of the bolts right off. Had drill and tap it and bought some SS bolts for the new skid plate. Then today while the skid was off I decided to remediate the rust on the frame cross member and lower radiator support. I wire brushed the steel PS return line and bam! Massive leak. The pipe just crumbled. Im glad it did so U can fix it in my driveway and not on the dusty hot back roads. A good reminder to periodically remove the skid and take a good look around.
