Question for those of you who have relocated the exhaust tip to the side...does this fix the sulfur odor finding its way to the interior (with windows open)?

THX!!

thx for the link. I'm definitely gonna remove resonator and install bent tail pipe. now to determine hardware...

I can't say if moving the exhaust from the rear to the side will eliminate the sulfur smell with the windows down, as I never have the windows down, but with the windows up it is night and day difference. Had the smell stuck around I would have had the cats replaced. I know the 4 runner still makes the smell ( a lot of cars do when pushed hard) because I have followed it in another vehicle on steep hills on the freeway. I mostly moved the exhaust for looks. With the nice surprise of no more smell.

It's not a cure but helps immensely. The nay time I smell anything is if I stomp on it.

Is the REAR window rolled down while you drive? Driving with this down usually pulls the exhaust into the cabin.

All depends on the angle. I had mine rerouted to about a 45 degree angle and still get it. Others who've had it turned more towards a 90 degree angle don't seem to have the smell any more.

I did the exhast mod, have about a 60 deg angle. It def helped sulfer smell but if I stand on it with back window down I will still get a sulfer smell.
