Sun Glasses Clip?

Ok so this is a super important mod! :wink2:

My mustang has an integrated sunglasses holder in the visor that is literally fantastic.

Contrast that with the 4runner's ridiculously fat sun visors that prevent any normal visor clip from attaching. What makes it more annoying is that in my trail edition the overhead console thing makes the pull outs in thick visor useless. I normally just wedge the sunglasses up on top of the visor, but passengers hate it and it has been 5 years of sunglasses randomly falling from the visor.

So i want to either find a clip that fits the thick visors or mount a clip to the vertical plastic pieces in the center dash next the hvac knobs. Currently i have a cb mic holder that i have been setting my sunglasses on, but it works poorly.

Solutions?

Same problem here. It's always fun getting bombs dropped on you when you're going down the highway, trying not to swerve and look drunk when all you're trying to do is catch your sunglasses. Who actually uses the little pull out shade anyways?

I rest mine on the 4 wheel shifter boot. Works great, but you need to have a Trail or Pro.

You can't use the sunglasses holder that's built in to the overhead console?

I put a piece of soft liint-free cloth in the drivers side door bottle holder and put my sunglasses in there

get the center console organizer and tray. I keep my sunglasses in the tray with a lens cleaning cloth. Very easy to get to, even when driving....

the trail doesn't have one. (At least mine doesn't because of the crawl controls)

I am going to try and stop by the Sun Glass Hut at the outlet mall to see if they sell clips for thicker visors.
I use the overhead console to store my "reader" glasses that are thinner than my Oakley sunglasses.

I put some of the non-skid stuff that you see in drawers & cabinets in the little shelf that's in the drivers door; it holds 2 pair of sunglasses for me pretty well without a lot of drama

Purchased the clip at Walmart for a dollar.
Works great.
The key is placement.

I use one of these magnetic holders on the lower dash behind the steering wheel. They are made to hold your glasses on your shirt, but work fine on a dash as well.

Missed the sunglasses holder in the overhead console in the 2015 Tundra I had. The T4TRDP that I got didn’t have that feature.

This is one of the first things that I bought when I got the T4TRDP. Has both the sun visor holder and vent clip attachment. I’m using the sun visor holder and so far it’s been great and strong enough to hold on to the thick ass sun visor we got in the 5th gens. I haven’t found anything I would change it out with.
