Sunglass holder/Convex mirror mod

Hey all,

Tried searching, couldn't find anything. On Highlanders (current generation) and Siennas, the overhead sunglass holder (click down) also has a fish eye/convex mirror to see everything in the back seat. Can this fit or be made to be fit in our 4Runner?

No one? I thought there would be more interest. Anyway, the "sunglass" door looks completely different than the Highlander one. So far, doesn't look doable..........

I think it is a neat idea, not even a parent here.

Off question, why are the N. American models missing the side lites that Surfs have? Other Toyota models seems to have them. rambling.

Probably something to do with regulations. As far as goodies, alot of the Japanese versions have them. My Surfs had altimeters/compass/etc that not even Lexus SUVs have. Very stupid they don't IMO.

While test driving Highlanders a few months ago, we noticed the mirror in the sunglasses holder too. It would be a nice feature to have in our 2007 4Runner.

Has anyone successfully installed a sunglasses holder mirror in their 4th Gen 4Runner? If so, could you give us the details on the installation?
