Sunroof Lubrication 03-08 tr4

Hey All,

I searched, but only came up with a pdf file about TSB on stuck sunroofs. As many of you know, our sunroofs have a tendency of getting stuck and just brake if no lubrication is done to them. I put some lithium white grease (with it open, of course) on the tracks and some pivoting points that move. Is that all?? On the TSB, I saw you one had to take the deflector off and lube somewhere in there. Question is: Where is the best place to lube and is the white lithium grease good enough?

Good question. I'd like to know as well. My grease looks dry and I don't want to overgrease it or use the wrong grease.

I put lithium grease b/c I was told its a very good all around lubricant. If your grease looks dry, remove some of it and apply. Don't "slop" it on. What I did was put a drop or "glob", then pushed (with my finger) into toward the pivoting point and removed any excess. I put a little excess on the track (knowing the sunroof would pick some up and track it BACK toward the rear). Like I said before, there doesn't seem to be a "procedure" on how to do it.
