sunroof recall

I got the recall information for the Webasto sunroof in my 2008 T4R before Christmas. I called and they asked if I was having any issues with it which I advised that I was not. They said if I do, to call and they will send me to a local authorized reseller and that they would tape it shut because the parts have been backordered 8-12 weeks. They said they would contact me when the parts come in (sometime in March I'm guessing) and that it's a two hour repair. That's about all I know! I will share more when I know more.

interesting, I have an 08 as well, I brought mine in for rust issues, wonder what the recall is about?

Let me clarify: This is not a Toyota recall. This is for the Webasto aftermarket sunroof insert that many dealerships use. I have this one: TVS 900 Twin Vent Power Inbuilt Sunroof

update: it took about 2 hrs. to install new glass & newly designed water tray, the auto glass place told me certain aftermarket models were recalled because of glass blowing off , breaking & water tray leaking. the headliner didn't have to be removed to do this. thanks for the free fix WEBASTO.
